The Division of Statistics + Scientific Computation offers statistical consulting to all UT students, faculty and staff. Our statistical consultants assist with questions about research or survey design, data analysis, appropriate model selection, power and sample size calculations, use of statistical software, and interpretation of results.
All students, faculty, and staff are eligible for up to one hour of free consulting each week. Our statistical consultants are available for one-on-one meetings, as well as to answer questions via email.
We offer contract consulting to faculty and staff with more complex data analysis needs. Contract services are provided for an hourly fee and may include data cleaning and manipulation, power analyses, tailored data analyses, or detailed reporting of results.
